We have just come back from spending nine unforgettable nights at Penzhorn Rest Cottage and it exceeded all of our expectations - even better than the photos! Zonja, our host, welcomed us warmly on arrival and was so accommodating to make sure we were happy throughout our stay. Her hospitality has honestly blown us away! The highlight of our stay was the daily sight and sound of the river with nightly hippo visitors which added such a magical touch to our stay, immersing us in the beauty and awe of the African bush. Whether enjoying a coffee while reading by the river or relaxing in the ‘bosbad’ every moment felt really special to us! Zonja’s meticulous eye for detail was evident in the small touches around the cottage which made us feel right at home. This is a haven for nature lovers seeking a luxurious yet authentic escape. If you decide to book this listing you won’t be disappointed! We left feeling rejuvenated and are already looking forward to returning!

People always say a place is a home away from home, but never have I felt that more than I did at Arien's place. Arien was an amazing host who went above and beyond when I was left without a car and was more than happy to drive me around. I definitely appreciated the peppermint crisp tart that she also shared with me. Her place is as peaceful and cute as herself! One of the best places I have ever stayed and hope to be back again soon.

This place was amazing! The host was very friendly and helpful with showing us what to do in the area and explaining how to navigate. The house was clean and neat and even better than the pictures. I imagine it’s almost impossible to find a better place for the price.

What a beautiful time we had with family The host was super responsive, lovely and friendly. We had everything we needed for the trip . The cleaning ladies were so lovely and helpful. We had the place cleaned everyday and our fire wood topped up . I would recommend this home to anyone thinking of having a peaceful, private, beautiful stay . Nicola was an absolute gem with all communication before and when we were at the accommodation. It was very comfortable with everything needed. A welcome drink of Old Brown Sherry, to the additional toiletries we could us. We could even watch all football games in the braaing area. Will definitely recommend this spot!

**10/10! Beveel STERK aan** Ons verblyf was eenvoudig fantasties. Die plek is pragtig – uiters netjies, skoon en goed onderhou. Dit het ALLES wat jy kan nodig kry – tot in die kleinste detail is daar aan alles gedink. Dit is een van die mooiste plekke waar ’n mens kan bly – rustig, stil, privaat – regtig ’n juweel van ’n bestemming. Charl, baie dankie vir jou hartlike vriendelikheid en opregte gasvryheid. Jy het ons laat tuis voel vanaf die oomblik wat ons opgedaag het. Ons wens ons kon langer bly – een aand was beslis nie genoeg nie! Ons kan nie wag om terug te kom nie. Tot volgende keer!

great stay, same like last time, I love this house and a view

calme et paisible avec à proximité beaucoup de restaurants et Spar. la pièce de vie est un peu petite et le salon n'est accessible que par l'extérieur donc pas utilisé mais le cottage avec le chauffage et les couvertures chauffantes nous ont permis de passer un bon séjour. merci à Lydia pour sa gentillesse

We hebben genoten van ons verblijf in het huisje van Emile en Lorraine. Het is een zeer comfortabel huisje: comfortabel bed, fijn linnengoed, snel internet en ook nog een wasmachine-droger. De buitendouche is niet echt buiten maar in een bijgebouwtje. Het huisje is intiem gelegen in een mooie tuin.
