We loved staying here. The staff is so fun and sweet. Food is great. View is unbeatable. Room is cozy. One of our favorite stays in Vietnam!

My friends and I absolutely loved our stay with Moon and An An. They were so helpful and truly made us feel like family. She helped us coordinate everything — from booking a trekking trip, to renting motorbikes, to a pickup and drop off at the train station. The space was clean and comfortable and in such a peaceful location. It was a little more on the outskirts of the Main Street which we absolutely loved. It felt peaceful but still close to everything we wanted. They also had a restaurant on site that made meals so easy, especially after a long day of hiking. We cannot recommend this homestay enough! ❣️

Moon’s place was a great place to stay. It was clean, welcoming and peaceful. The only issue I had was that Ggle Maps could not find the address they listed. A tip for others is to search for “Funny Monkey” in Ggle Maps. The communication was excellent and I didn’t find that they were pushing any tours etc on me, so they have taken this feedback on board. Overall, I had both, a relaxing and adventurous time at Moons place. The food is delicious and Thuy and her team are excellent hosts. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

We LOVED our stay at Funny Monkeys, we cannot recommend it enough. We got in late and left early, so we did not get nearly enough time there-- we left wanting to come back! First, Tu was very responsive with our questions regarding laundry, late check-in, etc. When we arrived, we had sat down and had tea with her and felt very cared for. We arrived in late evening, worried about food options, but luckily they had a restaurant at the homestay. It was absolutely delicious!! Some of the best vegetarian options we have encountered so far, and so tasty. They are very attentive and kind. The room was clean as well. In the morning we got to watch the fog lift from the riverbank, which was fantastic. Breakfast was delicious as well. Tu and the others working at the hostel were such amazing hosts we were sad to leave. If you are visiting Phong Nha, stay here!!

Everything was great. Really helpful and pleasant staff. Planned everything for us and gave us helpful information. We arrived really early in the night and we even got hammocks on the terrace to sleep and relax until our room was cleaned. We were able to check in 3 hours earlier. Food was great as well. Would stay there again.

So glad to have booked this place. Beautiful place overlooking the river. Hosts so friendly, food soo good. Phuong and Thuy were extremely proactive and communicated so well. I was also assisted towards my onward journey to Dong hoi via local bus. All the salads are a must try!!.. I highly recommend staying at Funny Monkey hostel for better food, location, scenic beauty and great hosts.

Ich weiß gar nicht wo ich anfangen soll. Moon, ihr Mann, ihre Schwester und der Rest der Familie ist einfach wunderbar. Alle von ihnen ist so bemüht damit man einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt hat. Moon selbst ist wirklich 24/7 da, das konnten wir fast nicht glauben aber es ist so. Wir buchten eine Tour direkt hier bei ihr. Diese Tour konnte man nirgendwo anders finden nicht bei getyourguide etc. Es war toll! Moon nimmt sich für ihre Gäste Zeit und ist wirklich am Herkunftsland oder an einem privat interessiert. Was hier definitiv zu kurz kommt ist das hervorragende Abendessen! Alles was wir gegessen haben war Weltklasse. Danke das wir bei euch übernachten durften. Wir würden immer wieder kommen! ❤️
