The cabin was a great stay and the hot tub was amazing! It does take a little bit to warm up so make sure to let it run a few min before getting in. The only thing was some of the trails that go behind the cabins are now “private property?” There was someone down the trail with an alarms set in the woods, I’m sure there will be communication between Karon and those tenants and hopefully that’ll get updated in the listing, besides that hiccup of being escorted down the trail by a neighbor… it was great and Karon was so so nice!!

The cabin is cute and rustic, providing all of your very basic necessities. I loved having the hot tub out on the patio. I do suggest turning the temperature as high as it will go when you arrive so that it is hot when you get in, hours later. The first night it was more of a warm tub and I didn't stay in long enough for the water to get hot but it was hot the next night. The area where the cabin is, is accurately described as having no wi-fi and poor cell reception but if you have Verizon, you will have ZERO cell reception. That was a nice thought in theory but it made getting around challenging and I was unable to communicate at all with the host with questions and issues I had. I had to drive some 5 minutes out before I could get any cell reception to try and navigate anywhere. I did not plan ahead and have directions or a detailed plan so not being able to look anything up was frustrating. If you have Verizon, plan in advance and enjoy being off the grid!

This was a great experience. We were able to rest, relax, and connect. The house was beautiful and had a lot of amenities that supported our travel.

We loved the home! The unique design and decorating inside were very pleasing to the sight and fit right in with the comfortable feeling we had the whole time we were there. Really nice and peaceful. Kind of older but that's what we were looking for. The view from the balcony was amazing. The only issue we had was the hot tub wasn't working other than that the place was amazing.

We had a great weekend. A great cabin that is very quiet and relaxing. I loved the stay and the accommodations.

Wonderful stay at A-frame State of Mind! House was perfect for our girls’ trip and had all the amenities listed PLUS more. Beds were super-comfy, view was so peaceful, and the detailed instructions were unmatched by any other ABnB I’ve stayed in. The night lights throughout the house were so helpful when getting up in the middle of night. Would highly recommend and hope to return for another visit! Thank you for hosting our family, Tiffany - you really have a great place!

Location is great if you need a change of pace. Home is very clean with lots of space to spread out. My wife and I enjoyed staying here. The drive up from Texas was scenic. There wasn't good service for our phones, but we could still use Uber Eats for snacks by going outside. My only knock is the neighbors letting their dogs roam free and pooping everywhere, but it is more of the rural setting thing that can't be controlled. If you have dogs that aren't friendly, just keep them leashed up when you go for a walk. All in all, we loved it.

Completely Undersold. Quiet, peaceful, serene. The trains that came through not once bothered our dog. I was raised in the country, so for me the place was perfect. All pictures are accurate, I loved it, my wife loved it, and my dog had a great time exploring. I recommend for anyone who’s looking for a quiet and peaceful stay. We did get in the river current was too fast, but with the fast current it made for a wonderful night sound. Overall 10 of 10. Totally worth it.

Did not want to leave, wish I owned this as my personal home. Cabin had everything we could possibly need right down to games. The area is great as we felt undisturbed by anyone and we easily found places to hike the woods and go to the lake. everything was spotless, wifi, hot water, temperature control all worked perfectly. Checking in and out could not have been easier. The fire pit was phenomenal, the biggest we have come across and it was so nice on a cold night. Funny enough I think one of my favorite things was the back porch looking into the trees where my daughter and I had coffee each morning, it felt special for us. The perfect get away.

We had a great weekend away at the cozy cabin in Whitesboro. There were 5 adults we fit very well. The screened in porch really extended the living area nicely so we didn’t feel on top of each other. The cabin was comfortable and well equipped, it had everything we needed. I highly recommend booking the cozy cabin for a quiet getaway.

We enjoyed our stay. We loved that this place is pet friendly and our dogs really enjoyed the huge backyard. The location is great for visiting Chickasaw Recreation Area and Lake of the Arbuckles. We also enjoyed a visit (just down the road) to the Chickasaw Cultural Center that has a lot of activities going on now. We would definitely stay here again!

We came here for a night get away and it was so peaceful and wonderful! Quiet surroundings just far enough out of town. 🫶🏼 The tortoise was neat, the horses greet you in the morning, and the kitties will show you around as soon as you arrive! 🥰 Loved everything about this place and will definitely be back!

We had a group of 10 who stayed at Pete's place for our annual bass tournament. This was the absolute perfect place for us! Plenty of space to accommodate us and very close to the lake/boat ramp. Pete was very helpful and responsive in being flexible with us and providing great instructions and information. There were plenty of games and activities for us to enjoy, along with a great hang out area at the mess hall. We enjoyed the big screen TV and pool table set up out there, and there were plenty of items stocked in the kitchen for everyday use. I can't recommend Pete and his beautiful place to anyone looking for a great, peaceful getaway at Lake Bois D'arc! Especially if you have a large group and need separate spaces. It was an overall great time! Thanks again Pete for hosting us!

We were only there for one night but would definitely go back, great location, friendly neighbors and lots to do!

The cabin is fantastic! Even though it’s super close to the highway, it feels very secluded. We loved the peaceful surroundings-and deer visited the area next to our cabin morning and evening! The queen bed was very comfortable and the kitchen and bathroom offer just the right amount of space. If you need to work remotely or just stream your favorite shows, the WiFi is amazing! We had a great stay at the red cabin and would stay again!

Our stay at the Lake House was very nice. The house is not huge but there was plenty of room for us all. We cooked most of our meals. The kitchen is stocked, but I missed my knives. The very best part of our stay was access to the beach. It was wonderful! The water is very shallow so the littles could get in a play without us worry about them too much. The sand is as white as any beach in Texas. So nice! The kids loved playing in it too. It was a little bit of a hike down to the beach. It would not be an easy walk for someone who is somewhat handicapped. But we all made it just fine. The main road is a little noisy during the day, but not much noise at night. I would definitely recommend this place.

Had fun. The beds were uncomfortably hard. But the view from the upstairs balcony was beautiful!

Ed’s great! Cabin was great! Everything we needed. Grandma loved watching the birds. Close to boat ramp.
