We had a wonderful break at The Lake Retreat. This home was beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean & so very peaceful. The kitchen had everything you could wish for & would be suitable for large groups. We appreciated the comfy beds, quality linen, towels & bath products that were provided for our stay. There were many extra touches to make you feel welcome & at home. Peter was always friendly & fantastic with all communications. I would highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone wishing to get away from it all in this area of Tasmania. Thank you for having us, we would love to return some day 🙂

We had a most wonderful time at this obviously-loved cottage. Plenty to do even if you're not into fishing. We cycled, and kayaked and walked and explored the stunning area. And relaxed with a red wine in front of the fire. Perfectly clean, comfortable and homely and we can't wait to book our next trip

Lauren is a wonderful host. She had left a few pantry items which were helpful, being a distance from shops and not wanting to get back in the car during our short stay. We enjoyed a few swims and loved the comfort of returning to a warm shower and cosy cottage only 5 minutes walk away from the beach. Thanks Lauren! We hope to visit again.

We had a very pleasant and calm 4-nights stay, the house is beautiful, comfy and well equipped. Surroundings and highlands lakes are beautiful and not crowded. The view from the terrasse is indeed stunning and the name of the place (stunning lake view) is deserved ! The host gave clear instructions, was friendly and immediately responsive each time we had to contact her. We do recommend it !

where repeat visitors and we are already counting down the days until our return visit next year. A lovely spot neat,clean, tidy everything you could ask for and more at a great price with a great host.

Awesome space for larger groups! Great view and living space excellent for BBQ or coffee in the sun. Superb location with cafe/shop/pub/golf club all within a walkable distance and only a short drive to Barnbougle!
