We felt very welcome, there is enough space and a lot of rooms, it is very comfortable, everything we needed was available. And his house is centered between beautiful locations in Iceland. And every time I had a question, he would respond very fast.

Nestled in the valleys of Iceland near the Golden Circle, this place is perfect for people looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and be one with nature. If you're lucky (although we were not), this is the ideal location to spot the northern lights. The (self) check-in process was smooth with clear instructions (with pictures). The place itself was clean & tidy with all the relevant amenities (in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom). I'd highly recommend Sigfríð’s place to anyone visiting Iceland & looking to stay overnight near the Golden Circle.

Wonderful place to stay, particularly if you are interested in going to the Fontana baths. Less than a 5 minute walk so great to get back 'home' after a long day of driving then walk over to the baths to relax. Place was very comfortable, clean, well appointed and the host is very responsive. Highly recommend!

Traveling with a group of nine family members, we needed a place that could accommodate a range of ages ( the youngest was 5 and oldest 73). Elin's place was absolutely perfect. Incredibly comfortable, clean, well designed and in a great location to explore the Golden Circle and beyond. She left us coffee ( and incredible find after a long journey), the perfect hot tub and a garage filled with fun activities for the kids, alongside a beautiful yard and back deck. There was nothing we lacked while staying at Elin's and returning to her her lovely home was a wonderful respite after busy days of adventure and exploring. We made dinner several times and she made check in and check out incredibly easy. I also really appreciated the list of suggestions and information she provided during check-in. I can't recommend this spot enough and would certainly stay again if I return to Iceland ( and I hope to!).

I definitely recommend this beautiful and cozy cottage with a thermal pool, surrounded by beautiful Icelandic nature. The owners were always very friendly and helpful 😊

This was the perfect place to stay for our trip to Iceland. We rented a car and were able to easily drive to different locations. We also got to see the northern lights twice right outside!! It was absolutely beautiful.

Loved our stay in this beautiful home. It was toasty warm with lovely outlooks and space yo relax while still feeling part of the beautiful scenery. The house was well equipped. The host was very responsive when we needed some help to work the hot tub.

We absolutely adored this placed. It was the perfect location to base ourselves for one week in Iceland. As we were with kids, we didn’t want to pack up every day. We were able to visit Reykjavík, the south coast all the way to Vik, the Golden circle, and Heimaey easily from this base. The house had plenty of room for the 6 of us. Our kids loved soaking in the hot tub, the swing, and playing soccer for hours. The views from the deck were gorgeous. We were sad to leave. Bergthora is very responsive to every question we had and included some much appreciated personal touches like coffee pods, a chocolate bar, and a note. We highly recommend this place. Burma’s beautiful home is ideal for anyone who wants two bathrooms (hard to find in Iceland) and plenty of space. It’s in a quaint small town very close to the Golden Circle and not far from Selfoss, which has more substantial amenities. Easy drive to Gullfoss and Geysir, and a small grocery is within walking distance of the house. The views from the sunroom are beautiful. The kitchen is modern, functional, and spacious. The outdoor area, including the hot tub, is wonderful in the evening. The nearby restaurants, including those in Reykholt, are wonderful! We highly recommend this place for people who want extra space and don’t want to stay in the busy capital city. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Jon's place in Flúðir was a delightful surprise! The space was incredibly comfortable and spacious, perfect for exploring the stunning Icelandic countryside. The bathroom was a particular highlight, feeling more like a luxurious 5-star hotel than a vacation rental. The place was fully equipped with everything I needed, making our stay truly hassle-free. Jon was also very responsive and helpful, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.
