Although I didn't rent a golf cart and a solo female traveler, I liked the location a few miles south of main San Pedro town. I actually had no issues walking the beach to town whenever I didn't want to pay a cab. Love the individual large casitas, the large pool and sundeck around it, and Toast (the bar restaurant was perfect as well). All the employees were fun and friendly. Several nights a week there are activities at Toast in which a lot of local expats show up like Tuesday night Bingo! Definitely worth it. If I get back to San Pedro will stay here again.

Royal Caribbean is a very nice place to stay. We enjoyed the exclusivity and relaxed feeling.

Nice cozy environment, right by the beach and scuba pick up. Everything we needed and overall pleasant!

The location was very good. Just far enough from town to be peaceful but not to far to inconvenience you. A golf cart is a must. You can’t really wslk anywhere. Karen will fix you up with thst.

It’s an Airbnb, but managed by hotel type staff. Able to check in with them, rent a golf cart and purchased water ($5 for 5 gallons). Bar/restaurant on site, nice pool, beach sand was hard, so we didn’t lay on the beach. Overall, great place to stay away from the hustle, but quick to get into town by golf cart.

The staff (Marcy) and manager were amazing, quick with any concerns or questions and they go above and beyond. We had a couple tiny minor things that needed attention and they handled it immediately and never made us feel at all bad for asking. Beautiful cabins, well kept and spacious. Nice to have a mini kitchen. Quiet peaceful area. Although there is no beach or nice swim spot off land here, there was a Great pool and I’m sure the snorkelling was great (we were too lazy) there is one pub quite often busy with wonderful staff and great drinks and pub food. There was not many food options close by, but renting a cart was worth it not only for food but also to see the island, and there are many amazing places to eat! The locals are all kind as well and helpful with advice and directions. Carumba is a must do island favourite restaurant. Might be good to make a reservation. But they tend to you as quick as you can if you don’t have one!!

Royal Caribbean Resort is a fantastic, off the beaten path, location that is great for long term stats. Stayed there for 2 months and had absolutely zero issues. The staff is incredibly friendly and the place is well kept.  (Best housekeeping staff).It's location is a bit out of the way for walking purposes but quite manageable if you rent a golf cart.  The convenience of the pool and restaurant really makes things quite easy.   The size is suitable for two people and WIFI is good enough in the event you want to stream some movies (Bring your own Roku) or if you have to telework.  WiFi is situated at misc points in the property so some rooms may be faster than others. However, even at the farthest cabins it's good enough.  

Absolutely stunning property right on the ocean front! We could not say enough great things about this stay. This boutique resort has everything for a great beach vacation. It was central to Placencia's restaurants and activities, had its own private beach and very friendly and helpful staff. The room was exactly like the pictures showed and had a great private balcony for watching the sunrise or listening to live music at the Tiki bar. The onsite bar was a great place to socialize and enjoy happy hour and Jolly that runs it made us feel right at home. We even got to meet Craig our last night and thank him for an amazing stay.

Die Unterkunft war makellos sauber und wunderschön, modern eingerichtet! Der Strand ist traumhaft schön und er war kaum belegt! Man hatte fast den ganzen Strandabschnitt für sich alleine.

We would totally come back again, and have talked about maybe doing that someday. After being there 11 days and walking up and down the sidewalk I would say this location is pretty ideal. Very close to the pier and not too far from the main road and a few restaurants. The whole staff team were great. So helpful and a pleasure to work with. Everyone helped us with all our questions and needs. The unit and building was very new and clean. And having the splash pool and bar on site were a huge plus. Couldn't have stayed there with out it. We enjoyed the live music and the other guest who stayed. We ran into a few other couples who are returning guest. So that speaks volumes. We never really spoke with Craig directly but saw he was there and keeping things up. We were there on our honeymoon and Ocean Breeze had flowers put in our room on our special day, making us feel special. We liked have connections with excursions and other services that we could book right form the office.

The best location in the village! Right off the sidewalk and literal steps from the beach; Hammocks and beach chairs, literal paradise. Our room was clean and had gorgeous views. The manager Carla was wonderful, as were the rest of the staff- everyone was so kind and welcoming. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Placencia!

Une chambre simple dans un très bel hôtel! Superbe piscine entourée d’arbres, grandement appréciée avec la chaleur, à distance de marche du petit centre ville. Le restaurant était excellent, et que dire du personnel! Vraiment sympathique et avenant, nous recommandons chaudement!

So happy we came across Michelle and Scots cute gecko bungalow on air bnb! It was recently dropped in price which was extra awesome for a last minute stay. The poolside bungalow felt like our very own oasis, also romantic. The decor was so cute, went with the beachy bungalow vibes. Very clean and the animal towels on the bed to greet us were an extra special touch to the already warm welcome. We enjoyed getting to know Michelle and their story of how they came to live in and love Belize. Thank you! We will be back! Karaline & Lukas from Alaska

Thanks for the stay on such short notice. I appreciated the taxi service that’s on the premises, the restaurant and the water activities.

The room was good for the day we were there and we loved the pool with swim up bar since we couldn’t swim in the ocean that day. Also grateful for luggage storage that helped us navigate our departure. The receptionist was warm and welcoming. Though it isn’t located in the exact heart of things, the walk is short and pleasant to get to the busier area. We didn’t need a golf cart since most of the things we did were a short walk away. We’d definitely stay here again!

I would stay here again! Enjoyed the pool and kayaking (saw some crocodiles!). Nice to have a restaurant on-site w/ a complimentary breakfast option. Close to the airport, and glad we had a rental car to explore the region.

The property is secure, clean and comfortable. It is down right gorgeous! Go visit the restaurant that is on the property. Delicious :)

We loved this laid back place! Our flight arrived late afternoon and we wanted something close to the airport for our first night in Belize. We arranged an airport pickup with Amanda. They were right there waiting as we exited the airport. They offered to stop at a grocery store on the way to the resort and we picked up a few items. Check-in was great. Room was clean and the beds were comfy. The pool was wonderful. The restaurant had amazing food. Everyone we met was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone that can appreciate a laid back, hard working group of people.

Small setting means fewer people, just right for a quiet getaway. The staff here is AMAZING, as is the food at the small on-site restaurant. Far enough out of Belize City and far enough off the highway to be very safe and very quiet, yet just minutes away from Belize City. Several popular destinations are within a 1 hour drive. Different boat tours available on-site, plus kayaks you can take out any time at no cost. The cabanas are comfortable and clean. The Bread Fruit cabana has great views of the ocean out of the windows on two sides. If I come back to Belize, I will definitely be staying here!
