We were a group of 12, and every one of us agreed this is the best holiday house we've ever stayed in. We loved the location, right by the beach and a short walk into town, but at the end of a cul-de-sac, so quiet and safe. We loved all the many books and musical instruments in the house - we felt very at home! We loved the beautiful sea views from 3 bedrooms, and the comfy beds, and the well-equipped kitchen. Our children loved the wide range of toys and the games console. The host made us feel very welcome. We felt it was very good value for money, and we would really like to come back and stay here again.

What an absolute gem of a place. It was immaculate and incredibly well stocked. The kitchen equipment was of a very high standard. The welcome pack was a real treat and so much appreciated. The information book was extremely well designed. We will definitely book again. Very impressive. The host Nicola was very easy to contact and extremely helpful. Thank you so much.

Hele leuke plek om te verblijven! Het voelt heel afgelegen aan, maar de stad is op slechts 10 minuutjes te bereiken met de auto. We hebben een kampvuur kunnen maken; een hele gezellige avond. Zeker aan te raden!

What a wonderful find, location, location, location! The lodge is right on the river where you can watch the daily foray of boats, paddle boards, canoes and wildlife. The lodge itself was very clean with plenty of storage and cupboard space. Gorgeous outside space with strategically placed hammocks and chairs to watch the world go by. I had a massage in the spa which was wonderful and we all went in the sauna with its cold water pool, all on site, what an experience! Christchurch high street is 2 mins away with its many restaurants and shops. I would definitively recommend this Airbnb.

thank you so much for letting us stay in your cottage we had a really lovely time and the house was perfect! So much so that my husband said if we come to Bournemouth next year for our grandsons football tournament we will stay again if your cottage is still available! I would not hesitate to recommend the cottage to family and friends

The Captains retreat is a beautiful cottage with everything you should need to hand. The decor is lovely and just as the photos portray. It is very private with its own sweet little courtyard and late afternoon there was still beautiful sunshine to sit outside and enjoy. Unfortunately we had to leave earlier than expected due to family illness but Helen was the most responsive and friendly host. Extremely helpful with recommendations and very flexible where possible with check in and out times. We very much hope to return in the future to enjoy the full experience, thank you Helen:)

Great place , did exactly what it said on the tin

fantastic property with an amazing view which gets better with the balcony where you can walk out and take in the wonderful views of the bay. everything you could possibly need is provided in this exceptionally clean property, with the added welcoming touches of fresh flowers sweets and a bottle of fizz were the icing on the cake . Steve is a fantastic and friendly host who responded quickly when we needed a boost in heating on a chilly evening if you are looking for a cozy and comfortable get away with a magnificent sea view look no further just , we counting down the days until our next stay already in May . thank you Steve for an amazing holiday home 10/10

Nothing negative at all. I loved it. Beautifully decorated. Lots to keep us amused. Actually, I would have been just as happy with the weekend if we hadn't left the accommodation. even my 18 and 21 year old kids were impressed - and that's very hard to do! Fantastic location 2 minutes walk from a quiet beach (although it is April so maybe it gets busier in the summer) Thank you for taking this last minute booking. It was perfect
