Perfect cabin for a trip to Iceland! It was small but that's what we were expecting from the description, and the space was enough for our needs. The host was very quick to respond anytime we had a question. Would definitely recommend!

Wir haben uns auf Anhieb in der Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war alles sehr ordentlich und sauber. Die Umgebung ist ruhig. Wir waren 4 Erwachsene und 3 Kleinkinder. An Platz mangelt es nicht und auch für die Kinder ist alles sicher und gemütlich. Die Gastgeberin war sehr aufmerksam und hat uns alles bereit gestellt was man zur Versorgung braucht, auch der Check-In verlief einwandfrei. Katrinn hat uns genau über die Lage und den Ablauf informiert, trotz nächlicher Ankunft war sie und Asta gut erreichbar. Wir sind Katrinn unglaublich dankbar und würden die Unterkunft, wie auch sie als Gastgeberin immer wieder weiter empfehlen!

Our family voted this the best of all that we stayed at in Iceland. Beautiful place. Much bigger than any other location we stayed. Most receptive host! We will stay here again.

Excellently located for short drive to most key attractions within the golden circle. Very quiet and away from the main towns so perfect for seeing the northern lights. Spacious modern house with everything we need. Dóróthea and Baldur were perfect hosts and very responsive. We must come back here!

Checkin was a breeze and Alfa was extremely helpful throughout our entire stay. Truly a beautiful home with everything you need, especially if you’re traveling with kids. Views from the home are absolutely stunning and the interior is very warm and welcoming. My family and I enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to visit again.

Amazing place to stay!! The cabin was perfect for 4 people! Cozy, but we still had plenty of space! The cabin was easy to find with helpful directions from the host, with stunning views of the lake from the deck and dining table. The location was perfect for what we wanted to see in the Selfoss area, and the property was quiet and very peaceful. The icing on the cake for our whole Iceland trip was being able to relax in the hot tub and admire the northern lights above!!!! Thankful to the host provided amenities, like the camera tripod which was awesome to use for northern lights photos. Highly recommend this cabin, and would definitely book again!!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful house! It had everything we needed, including multiple ways to make coffee, which was a delightful touch. The location was private and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hosts were incredibly proactive and attentive. We had an issue with the lights one night, but Maria came by the next day while we were out and had it fixed by the time we returned. The house is also conveniently close to the Laugarvatn Fontana geothermal baths, which were a highlight of our trip. We wish we had more time to go back. Highly recommend this place!

Our stay was perfect. The cabin was great and exactly as shown in the pictures. The place was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances for a small kitchen. Eggert was quick to respond and check-in was easy and smooth. Great overall experience and would definitely recommend this place.

Cabin was great. Clean, nice, well stocked. We enjoyed our stay. The only real improvement would be exterior lighting. There are no exterior lights, so it was hard to find after dark.

Gudny was an amazing, generous, and kind host. We felt immediately right at home and the home is well stocked with everything you could need as you adventure around Iceland. The location was excellent for our needs and it was quiet with beautiful views. The home was exactly as expected and the hot tub and outdoor shower were excellent! Een heerlijke week overnacht in het huisje en getourt door de Golden Circle. 3x het noorderlicht gezien door weinig lichtvervuiling in de buurt! Fijn dat er vloerverwarming aanwezig was om het huisje op temperatuur te houden.

One of our memorable accommodation is this one with its very lovely cabin inside and out. It’s so cozy we dont want to leave! Everything we need is right there and it’s spotless. We learned of the story of the cabin and it became a more special stay. Thank you for allowing us to arrive early and all the suggestions we can do around the area. It was easy communicating with you and we had a fantastic stay!

Maria's cabin is out of the way on a small lake. The scenery is beautiful. The cabin had all the necessities and comfortable beds. One bedroom was on the small side, but the main bedroom was large. The only issue was a difference in how America and Icelandic people make their number 1's. I thought the Wi-Fi code had a 7 in it but it was a 1. After I figured that out, the Wi-Fi worked great. :-)

I have such happy memories of our time in Kristján’s cabin. It feels more like staying at a friend's place as there is such character throughout the home. It's ideal for 'hunkering down' amid stunning scenery. We loaded up on duty free wine and plenty of food at Bonus and spent our evenings cooking, chatting and playing games. There are plenty of cooking ingredients K is happy to share. The cabin is ideal for a digital detox and cutting yourself off from the world - although it also has excellent wi-fi. It's worth noting there aren't many restaurants locally - this is truly the wilderness. There are plenty of amazing things to see locally by car. Highlights include: Eiríksstaðir - Viking Longhouse - Sofie is an amazing storyteller and host Daytrip around Snæfellsjökull National Park Guðrúnarlaug Hot-tub Café Riis Hólmavík - Restaurant - Pizzeria & Bar & also Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft Kristján's cabin is a truly one-of-a-kind and memorable stay.

We stayed with our two adult children for hunting some northern lights. The accommodation was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. A true recommendation if you look for a private, clean, quiet and modern stay with stunning views. Ragnar was always available and a helpful host.

This is the best place we have ever stayed. It was the perfect home to return to each day after our Icelandic adventures. The views were spectacular: 360 degrees of breathtaking beauty. It felt like a genuine home-from-home. Everything was provided; it was warm and clean, with just enough personality to give it character. The hot tub was a huge bonus, with views of the snow-capped mountains beyond. And the glass-fronted room has to be seen to be believed. Coffee/tea in there each morning was a highlight of a holiday packed with highlights! There were so many little touches: beautiful mood lighting; incense in the toilet; a quality corkscrew; the laundry room! Little things but the sort of things that elevate a place from good to great. It was the perfect place for our week long stay with our two daughters - 11 and 13 - and Asa was a consummate host.

The cottage itself was beautiful and peaceful, providing a serene escape after our days exploring West Iceland. Its location was ideal as a base for our adventures, allowing us to easily visit all the stunning sights in the region. We particularly appreciated the tranquility of the surroundings; it was so quiet and relaxing. The host was also very responsive. We highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-equipped place to stay while exploring West Iceland. We'd love to return someday!

This is a place I could’ve stayed at for a long time. A fantastically stocked kitchen and spacious living area. It comes across much larger than advertise. The best part of the place is its peaceful serenity, and its wonderful view. Good central location for doing day trips to check out many great locations that South Iceland provides. Would definitely stay here again, and again and again and again. 😊

Had a fantastic stay at Gunnar's cottage. Everything we needed was at hand in the cottage. It was warm and cozy and and perfect for relaxing in the evening. We used the hot tub a couple of times and it was great. Managed to see the northern lights during our stay and it's a perfect location for seeing them and travelling around the Golden circle. Would definitely stay again.
