It was lovely to meet Alice and David and to spend time with them round the breakfast table. They are sensitive to people's need for privacy but are also present for help or a chat. Received excellent recommendations from them. The place itself is very homely and clean, with beautiful surroundings. On occasion we returned to our room during the day to take shelter from the rain and rest; it was a very welcoming and private space. A perfect AirBnB experience.

The accommodations were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was yummy! Location was very close to the cute town. The hosts were lovely and informative. Would definitely stay again!

Karen was the perfect host. My son and I enjoyed a very comfortable night in her lovely house. Karen made us feel right at home and provided everything we could have wished for including a delicious breakfast - the stewed plums were amazing! Since we were doing the 'five ferries' cycle route, we underestimated how long it would take us to get to Tarbert next morning and only just made it - but that was down to our own ignorance of the time it would take to cycle six undulating Kintyre miles! (Cyclists take note). I would return to Karen's place in a heartbeat and one day hope to do so.

Alison 's home was spectacular with an oceanfront location down the beach from Culzean Castle. We were warmly welcomed into their home. the accommodations were wonderful and a great breakfast is included. most importantly the hospitality was so gracious and they even provided a wee dram for the evening. so highly recommend a stay here, the location is spectacular!!

Wir haben zwei Nächte in dem hübschen Zuhause von Uta und Ian verbringen dürfen. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen, Uta hat uns viele Tipps für Ausflüge gegeben und war sehr hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sauber und hübsch eingerichtet und wir hatten ein Wohnzimmer zur alleinigen Nutzung, in dem uns abends ein Kaminfeuer empfing. Das Frühstück war sehr vielseitig und wir hätten auch die Küche nutzen dürfen. Wir wären gerne länger auf der Insel geblieben und haben uns gefühlt wie zu Besuch bei Freunden. Schön so gastfreundliche, sympathische und herzliche Menschen kennenzulernen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Excellent stay with Jo! She was very welcoming and friendly, and gave us all the advice we needed for our stay. Her house and room are perfect for exploring the area and having a good time. I was happy with the price I paid. Ryan's flat was spotless, warm and had everything we needed. The view from the flat is amazing and although the weather wasnt the best while we were there, we had 2 beautiful sunsets. Ryan kept in contact prior, during and on the day we left. He was very accommodating. It's on the third floor but definitely worth the view in my opinion. The flat is right on the outskirts of the town but walkable in 15-20 minutes or no problem to park nearer when needed.

This place is absolutely beautiful. The terrace is perfect when u love nature, sea, sheep and highland cattle. Lots of walk are possible from here. About the castle it’s really a stunning one. Services are at the best with all confort needed … it’s really a jewel and we hope come back here in the future.

Host was so sweet when Airbnb canceled our original reservation only a few days before visit. Host got us into one of his other properties which was smaller but provided us an additional rollaway bed so all could sleep well (which he didn’t have to do at all ❤️ since cancelation was not his fault). He also provided our teen extra snacks to make up for having to sleep in living room. Very very thoughtful.

Hemos pasado la Nochevieja en casa de Grant, un anfitrión excelente, en todo momento estuvo pendiente de nosotros, nos buscó alternativas a celebrar la Nochevieja y nos dio un montón de consejos. Su casa es muy acogedora. Nos llevamos un gran recuerdo de Escocia! Mikel & Chico 🐾 & Isa.

Could have been cleaner but was okay for what we needed, good communication and good host

The place was spotless, with almost everything you could need for an extended stay like my own. The hosts were flexible (due to changes in my own plans) and they communicated quickly in response to every query. Very much recommended place to stay.

A lovely apartment, perfectly positioned for a short walk into town. The rooms were all very spacious and comfortable and the basket of goodies in the kitchen were very thoughtful and well received! We had a lovely stay in Oban and if I'm back this way Ian's will be my first stop. Thank you!

wir haben uns in der Wohnung vom ersten Moment an sehr wohl Gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Alles was wir brauchten war vorhanden. Die Wohnung liegt in der Nähe vom Zentrum. Alles ist zu Fuss erreichbar. Der Kontakt zu Jeanette war sehr herzlich und sie war immer sehr reaktionsschnell. Dieses Airbnb können wir nur empfehlen!!

Perfect location, the little house had everything and more you need to make your stay comfortable. Plenty of room, full stocked kitchen with a washing machine if needed - we didn’t as the weather was wonderful so no wet or dirty clothes! Large bathroom and the amenity kit was a lovely extra. Breakfast every morning had a great choice and plenty to set us up for full days exploring the wonderful island of Islay.

Lovely welcome and fabulous place and facilities with excellent location. Highly recommend.

Linda’s place is exactly as advertised but more spacious than the photos let on. She has given thoughtful consideration to every possible need you could have during your stay and it shows! Her home is spotless and it reflects the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Breakfast was delicious! I really like that she provides options and asks the day before what you would like to have. This was excellent because my son is not a big breakfast eater, so we were able to avoid unnecessary waste. Please consider a trip to Iona during your stay! It was truly fascinating and beautiful! Linda is very knowledgeable about the local area and answered all of our silly and not so silly questions. This is a true B&B where you meet the host and have interaction, but also all the privacy you desire. I quite enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this booking!

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und konnten vor dem Check-In bereits unser Gepäck abladen. Wir wurden mit Tee und Kaffee versorgt und das Frühstück wurde uns aufs Zimmer gebracht. Gute Lage, um zum Loch bei Finlaggan zu wandern, die Whiskydestillerien Caol Ila und Bu nahaiban zu besuchen und an der Fähre in Port Askaig im Hotelrestaurant essen zu gehen.

Had an absolutely restorative two nights with Jennifer. Such a fantastic location near the Kerrera ferry. Stunning breakfast views and porridge in the morning! Absolute 15/10 stay.

Gillian’s place is located in a beautiful area. She was very friendly and provided a pleasant breakfast.

We absolutely loved staying at Ian’s beautiful place! The cottage itself is fabulous, super comfortable, clean and absolutely full of character and fascinating art work. Ian was a brilliant host, kind, proactive and gave brilliant local recommendations for places we hadn’t come across in guidebooks. The stars at night were incredible. Breakfast was delicious and we had three brilliant days exploring Mull from Ian’s as our base. Would definitely recommend a stay at this beautiful, peaceful place.

Wow, what a wonderful find! We felt right at home from the moment we met Katja and were introduced to her home. David and Katja were wonderful hosts and we can't thank them enough for making our stay so special and memorable. We hope to keep in touch. Their local knowledge is extensive and our walking trips were just perfect as a result. The breakfasts set you up for the day and the quality of the ingredients plus the homemade jams, tahini and honey are such a treat! The hospitality and kindness too extended to Katja lending me several pairs of her shoes as my feet were suffering in my walking boots and needed a rest. I left with happy feet!! We were travelling on foot and via public transport and this is possible with a little resourcefulness and the invaluable knowledge of the hosts. We ate out in the evenings at the two nearest restaurants. In addition the location is idyllic and warrants time exploring it. We truly hope to be back one day. Thank you both so much for everything.
