We had a perfect stay. Everything was spotless. We’ve been coming to South Haven for 40+ years and we’ve stayed in numerous rentals. This was our favorite place! It was very clean, kind of secluded, and the outside living area was so peaceful and quiet. It’s one of those properties that you hesitate telling others about 😂😂

This was my first experience at a true bed-and-breakfast. Dennis and Jim are amongst the nicest people I have ever met. Their home is beautiful, the location is serene and peaceful, the bed is luxurious and comfortable, the views are unparalleled, and there is true love in the hospitality service that they provide. Breakfasts were all wonderful (but the quiche was my favorite) and it was so nice to get to know the other guests as well as hear about Dennis and Jim’s local recommendations during that time. I cannot wait to come back!

Beautiful spacious home with everything we needed to spend quiet time in and enjoy nearby Saugatuck. We hope to be back and stay here again!

Jerri and her whole family were truly amazing! Not only did they make sure I was comfortable but also that I was safe, which I appreciated with my whole heart. The fur babies were the sweetest things and so relaxing to play with (especially the cuddly cats). A beautiful and clean house with the kindest people you’ll meet- it’s the perfect Airbnb.

Our stay at Jim & Julia's was perfect! quiet, peaceful and close to town. The hosts were kind and evaluated when we engaged, but also we felt like we received the solitude we needed. We appreciated the view and the different entrance/exit to the house from our area. Highly recommend staying there! We will again in the future!

This is one of the top places we have ever stayed. Exquisitely decorated and comfortable inside and out, Dennis and Jim have created a warm and welcoming home. My wife and I stayed in the upstairs room, which included an extremely comfortable bed, a nice size bathroom and a separate living room area which overlooked the common living room and large glass windows displaying the garden and river beyond. Breakfast was on a whole other level. Jim greeted us with freshly brewed coffee. Dennis, a long time chef, used his talents in preparing scrumptious meals. Best of all was the wonderful conversations with Jim, Dennis and the other guests. The backyard garden is gorgeous with a comfortable sitting area to enjoy and relax. Included with our stay was free use of the kayaks or a canoe to enjoy the kalamazoo river. We had a great stay and look forward to our return the next time we are in the area. 😎

We had an amazing stay. The house was beautiful and it accommodated our multiple family vacation with plenty of room. Location is great with many things to do. My boys enjoyed fishing right behind the house which was a plus. The house is also in a great location. Grocery store and beaches are just a quick drive away. Next year we plan to stay longer!!!

Peggy, Bruce and Patrick were awesome! Super welcoming and accommodating to everything we asked! The breakfast was 11/10! Would recommend to others and definitely come back!

Must stay B&B! Eric and Tracy have gone above and beyond renovating the Forest Inn for the perfect getaway. The entire house is very intentional, gorgeous woodwork throughout, and clean. Multiple common spaces for spending time relaxing or playing games. Breakfast was wonderful while relaxing on the front porch and included fresh ingredients and delicious homemade food. Douglas beach is an easy walk and the pool was clean and refreshing. Easy to get into downtown Saugatuck but you will barely want to leave your place at Forest Inn!

There’s not much more to say other than this was a great place to stay. Beautiful home, and beautiful people live here. We’ll be back Tracey!

What a beautiful find! The resort is welcoming and cozy! The whole place is as comfortable as can be! Our room was also comfortable with it's own fireplace! Breakfast was also amazing! Highly recommend for a romantic getaway!

Nestled amidst serene landscapes, my stay at Vintage Inn, was nothing short of enchanting. My room was immaculate and the attention to detail, right down to the exceptional mattress and luxurious bedding, provided a seamless fusion of comfort and elegance. Every morning, breakfast was prepared and served with care and artistry and was a pleasure for my tastebuds and plated as a work of art. The hospitality extended by the hosts, Tim & Sherry, was unparalleled. Whether recommending local attractions or simply ensuring my comfort. As a solo traveler, I especially appreciated the safe and secure environment, that provided peace of mind. The atmosphere at the Inn was further enhanced by the presence of free-range chickens and friendly cats that roam the grounds, adding a charming touch. I left feeling rejuvenated and will definitely be planning a return to this hidden gem.

We only had one night available to stay in Douglas and felt so lucky to find a spot at The Forest Inn. The updated property was just stunning and I wish there had been more time to enjoy just sitting on the wraparound porch or lounging in the games room. We did get a chance to dip into the pool, which was so peaceful. We saw deer roaming in the woods nearby the first afternoon and again while eating breakfast on the porch. I just loved every bit of our comfortable stay. It's walking distance to a favorite local beach and the walk along Lakeshore Drive with coffee in the morning was really relaxing. We'd love to stay again and plan to bike around the neighborhood and over to the downtown spots we love in both Saugatuck and Douglas. Definitely recommend a stay here.

Eric and Tracy did a wonderful job restoring the property while keeping the original feel and charm of the home. The location could not be better, you are a 5 minute walk to a secluded beach and only a few minute drive to both downtown Saugatuck and Douglas. Eric’s breakfasts were phenomenal and he did an exceptional job accommodating a severe allergy. The room we stayed in was spacious and beautifully renovated. The bathroom and shower were among the best in any hotel or bnb property I have ever stayed in. If you are looking for a relaxing stay in the Saugatuck area you could not find a better place.
