Beautiful, private location centrally located to the Pictured Rocks trails we wanted to hike and convenient to heading into Munising as well. Plenty of space for our group of 8-9! The fire pit in the yard was terrific for a nighttime gathering around fire. We appreciated the outdoor gas grill and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfasts and dinners.

Easy access to modi’s ski areas, to Munising and the Pictured Rocks area. And nice and quiet in AU Train!

Great place! So much space and beds! We walked in and felt right at home! Just wish we were able to see the northern lights, but it was overcast out side, I don't think our host could do anything about that. I did try walking out onto the balcony all night to check!

Absolutely worth staying, my family enjoyed our day very much and look forward to going back

Santa’s Shack is perfect – an early Christmas gift for me! It’s comfy, cozy, clean, and spacious, equipped with everything I needed. Danielle is an exceptional host: welcoming, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. I had a minor injury, which I mentioned casually, and Danielle went above and beyond by offering a therapeutic device so I wouldn’t have to drive a considerable distance, there and back, to get one. I had a fantastic time and staying at Santa's Shack was part of the amazing experience. Thank you so much for everything, Danielle!

This apartment is a great little hideaway. Super clean, which was nice. Within walking distance of a great breakfast spot, and some pretty stellar pizza. One should be warned, the door opens to the right, and the light switch is also to the right. So if you arrive at night, don't panic, the switch is there. Thankfully, the light above the stove was on when we arrived at night, so we had enough light. The only bummer I discovered is the only window with a screen has a window mounted ac unit, and even the sliding door didn't have a screen door. It would have been nice to have gotten some fresh, cool air at night. Never the less, I'd go back, if ever I vaca in Munising again.

Kathryn runs a cabin style house that handles 7 guests easily. The decor fits the setting and was just what my group wanted. She made our stay very comfortable and was not the hostess from the big city who you can’t reach or who relies on contracted help to support her guests.

It offers everything needed for a comfortable stay while exploring the Upper Peninsula, with a convenient location just 40 minutes from Marquette and all its attractions. The cabin is thoughtfully designed with all the modern amenities you'd want, including Wi-Fi, making it easy to stay connected if needed (we had no trouble using our laptops). The star-filled night skies are a delightful bonus. For anyone who appreciates tiny, minimalist living, this spot is an absolute gem! One tip: be sure to download your GPS directions beforehand, as service can be spotty on the drive. This cabin is absolutely worth the visit!

Great couple days of snowmobiling! Cabin was close to trails and rentals. So nice to come in with fireplace to warm us. Kitchen and bathroom were well equipped. Really enjoyed the whole experience!!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Utensils in the kitchen, board games to play as well as comfortable beds to sleep in. The hot tub was an absolute must, and it didn’t disappoint! Kimberly was quick to respond to any questions, and when the weather was too dangerous to travel in on our morning of check out, she allowed us to stay another night to make sure we could travel safe. Highly recommend! We will be returning!

These guys are great! Well maintained and always clean! All the essentials to cook and hang out. Been staying here the past 5 years for sled trips and will keep coming in years to come!

A bit tricky to find the driveway due to the recent snow, but Kurt's directions were spot on and extremely helpful! The cabin was absolutely beautiful! Our trip ended up very memorable, with some great snowmobile riding for 5 of us, local skiing for 2, and a cozy craft day at the cabin for 1-something for everyone! And the views were beautiful and serene. Thanks for a great stay!

This place is perfect when you’re looking for solitude and quiet in pretty surroundings. It’s an easy drive to Marquette, Munising, Pictured Rocks, and the Eben Ice Caves. We had a lovely walk in the snow near the cabin, and spent time on other days hiking the ice caves and around the lake near Marquette, as well a day snowmobiling. This place is very clean and adorable and feels like home. Even though it was cold in the UP, the sun warmed the porch and it was nice to read in there. The outdoor area is perfect for a fire and enjoying the peace outside. Travis was extremely responsive the whole time. We would 100% come back!

This Airbnb is an absolute gem. My family (Two kids, spouse, mother-in-law and I) absolutely loved this little slice of paradise in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Jason was very proactive with his communication and the instructions provided to us for just about everything. Nestled against a beautiful lake, this home is great for the small family or couple who want to get away from everything and just unplug. Their lake view property is stunning from the screened in porch in the mornings and evenings, to your own personal fire pit (Also screened in) which makes for a wonderful bug free campfire night as well. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking to visit the area. You are about 20-30 minutes from town and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, with plenty of other things to do and see close by. All the rooms were cozy and perfect, the downstairs area stayed cool even in the hot weather we had, the upstairs was comfortable during the entire stay. We would gladly return again!
