I had the pleasure of spending two days in the beautiful “Mistletoe” yurt on the lake over New Year’s, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the Robert had gone above and beyond to exceed our expectations. The yurt was pristine, beautifully decorated for Christmas, and equipped with every amenity we could need. The pictures on the website don’t even do it justice—there’s so much more to the property and plenty to do on the lake. Everything worked flawlessly, from the huge chef’s grill to the cozy fire-place heater, in-unit AC/heat, 4-person jaccuzzi, personal fire pit, and electric blanket. Ample hot water for showers. Plenty of big, soft towels and blankets. We enjoyed taking the paddle boat out, kayaking, and even fishing. Despite the cool weather, we were perfectly comfortable and able to enjoy the outdoors. It was truly a spectacular weekend, and I can’t recommend this stay highly enough. Thank you Robert, we will be back very soon!

Great place to stay on the lake! We were greeted by 2 extremely welcoming hosts who made us feel right at home. The place was lovely inside and out and was equipped with tons to do and see! Highly recommend staying here.

Jack was a great host! He supplied everything we needed for a fun, lakehouse vacation. Comfortable, clean, safe, quiet! The pictures were accurate and lakefront location was even better than the pictures. The only thing to know ahead of time of that the second bedroom (while clean and very comfortable) is a captured room (enter and exit only through the first bedroom). This is not ideal. It may have been explained in the description and the accurate pictures, but we were caught unaware. Loved our time there! I hope to return.

We stayed at the Airbnb for our wedding weekend. Ashely and Madeline made everything seamless— if you’re having a wedding at emerald hill, staying at the Airbnb is a must. It made things to easy at the end of the night to drop things off/change as everything progressed

Accommodating host and responsive!

We love staying at the farm house. It has everything we need for a restful stay after a busy day. Love the full kitchen, always very clean, and we love watching all the animals each evening. Host are wonderful, very kind, and quick to help with anything you need. We look forward to coming back each year!

We celebrated Thanksgiving at the house and it had every thing we needed to prepare our meal.

Great place to stay. It was nice to rent both the bottom portions of the property. I enjoyed that Rachel provided a hammock, canoe, kayak and life vests (made traveling so much easier not having to bring those items along). Rachel was very wonderful to work with and ensured fast responses to my messages. She took extra steps to make sure me and my family felt at home. The screened in porch for lake views during morning breakfast and evening dinners made wanting to leave difficult. Highly recommend securing an air bnb from Rachel. Thank you for leaving my family with endless memories and fun!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful lake house! It was the perfect getaway for our family—spacious, inviting, and so thoughtfully set up. The boathouse was a favorite spot, and the porch hammock quickly became my go-to place for peaceful naps while listening to the birds and the lake. Lake Hickory is stunning, and we loved exploring nearby attractions like the Emerald Hollow Mine in Hiddenite and Rocky Face Mountain. We also had a great dining experience at PJ’s Bethlehem Seafood & Steak—delicious food and excellent service. This home had everything we needed for a relaxing and memorable stay. We’d absolutely recommend it and would gladly book with this host again!
