We had a great stay! It was exactly as described, everything we needed was there and the surroundings were beautiful. We walked over to the brewery one night and it was a quick drive to some gorgeous vineyards and not too far to town. The best of both worlds.

Our weekend girls' trip getaway to Susanne's pastoral family homeplace was absolutely wonderful, as this property is truly its own point of interest! While all bed/bath/kitchen provisions were top notch and well exceeded a typical amenity checklist, the thing that comforted us the most was a warm and open welcoming into the doors of this historic family home. From classic furnishings and sturdy wares, old photos and whimsical trinkets, interesting nooks and mysterious crannies, peaceful porch seating and delightful cow parades, abundant trees and beautiful flowers... we felt like we were right at home. Although we could have been perfectly content staying parked on the property our entire stay (and may plan to do just that for our next visit) we opted to enjoy a lovely drive for a day hike to a stunning waterfall in Shenandoah National Park, and went in to Charlottesville for some shopping on the pedestrian mall. We 100% recommend this historic property and Susanne's warm hospitality!

Great location! Easy to get to restaurants and campus.

This home was perfect for my husband and I and our two toddlers when we were in Charlottesville for a family wedding. Rick and Emily were very accommodating and helpful, and my kids loved the playroom! Can't recommend this home enough if you're traveling to Charlottesville with young children.

Patricia is super nice, place was wonderful for our little kids. Checking on the chickens in the morning was a fantastic way to start the day. BEAUTIFUL fairy walk on site, would come back just for that besides the beautiful view, and fantastic host.

We had a great stay at the Critzer House. It was just as described and perfect for our two families of four. Plenty of room for all of us to hang out together or retreat to separate spaces for some quiet time. The sunroom was great for starting the day with coffee and finishing with adult beverages. The location was ideal...30 minutes or less to incredible hikes, breweries, wineries, and distilleries. Easy walk to Blue Mountain Brewery for dinner after a long day exploring the beautiful surrounding area.

Sarah couldn’t have been a better host. She’s so nice, accommodating, and understanding. She had the place clean as a whistle and is very responsive. Lots of space, comfortable beds, peaceful surroundings. There are lots of bathrooms, too and privacy. She was the best!

We enjoyed our stay. There are a lot of steps. I had assumed (which I should not have) that the pool was going to be right outside of the main house. It was not. The main house is upstairs. There was, however, a pool house with a kitchen right next to the pool. Otherwise everything was comfortable and our family had a good time.

we really enjoyed the historic setting, the fantastic location near downtown activities, and wonderful historic neighborhood to walk around. the lodging was very comfortable and quiet. whenever we come back to Charlottesville, this is the place we would choose.

Great location on the downtown mall. Host was accommodating, helpful, & instructions were clear. Beautiful windows and architecturally interesting apartment. Fireplace created ambience & warmth; much appreciated during January's frigid temps. Note that it's a walk up apartment. Secure and comfy accommodations. Hope to return!

We had a great time at Tara & Mark's. It was as good as advertised and we really enjoyed the comfortable and clean space, and the beautiful surroundings outside.

This place was fabulous. It was on a quiet street in a safe, well-lit neighborhood. It was just a 4 minute walk to the Downtown Mall, with many easy to find restaurants, bars, bookstores, coffee shops, and a movie theatre! The space was perfect, with plenty of towels/linens, comfortable beds, a large closet, easy to use wi-fi, powerful ACs, and multiple desks, which I used to do a little school work. It was also quite charming with dozens of books on the shelves, eclectic art/decorations, as well as local, tea, coffee, and bread for you to enjoy. I highly recommend Genevieve’s home and will definitely stay again the next time I’m in C’ville!

The Studio was a perfect weekend getaway stay! Kalin was a very responsive host and checked in to ensure everything was going well. I would absolutely stay here again!

Great stay! It was great bringing our pet on our snowboarding trip. Plenty of room and pet friendly in suite 1. Great location for local breweries, hiking, and snow sports. The bed was super comfy! Would definitely stay again!
